Person reportedly hit by train between Lewes and Eastbourne

A person has been hit by a train between Lewes and Eastbourne this morning (Friday, 6), according to Southern Rail.

Train services are unable to run between Lewes and Eastbourne while emergency services are dealing with the incident.

Disruption is expected until 10am.

The operator said tickets will be accepted on the following at no extra cost: Brighton & Hove buses between Brighton, Lewes, Seaford and Eastbourne Southeastern train services between Hastings and Central London via Tunbridge Wells
