Brighton Housing Staff To Face Higher Professional Standards

Brighton and Hove City Council is introducing higher professional standards for housing staff following changes to social housing regulations.

Staff will receive training in areas including de-escalation, supporting vulnerable tenants, repairs, allocations and damp and mould issues.

The council says the standards have been shaped by tenant feedback, with a focus on respectful communication, clear information and accountability.

The cabinet has agreed to spend £79,000 on the training, funded through the Housing Revenue Account.
