A drug dealer who tried to jump from a first floor window to avoid arrest has been jailed.
Mukhtar Abdullahi, 22, was linked to an address in Horsham where suspected drug dealing activity was taking place.
Police attended the property in Swallowtail Road on 22 October last year as part of an investigation into the “Kodak” drugs line.
Officers discovered cocaine, heroin and cannabis inside the address and safely detained Abdullahi after preventing him from escaping through a window.
Abdullahi, who has no fixed address, later admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine, heroin and cannabis.
Appearing at Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on 17 April, he was jailed for three years and eight months.
Following the case, Detective Constable Neil Winter, from the Community Investigations Team, said:
“Abdullahi thought he could get away out of a window of a property which was linked to the Kodak drugs dealing line.
"But officers prevented his escape and following a thorough investigation, he pleaded guilty in court.
“We are pleased Abdullahi is now serving a custodial sentence, it demonstrates our determination to disrupt the supply of drugs that cause so much harm for our community in Horsham.”
