A man who was attacked in East Sussex last month has died in hospital, police have confirmed.

The 66-year-old was assaulted in Canute Close, Eastbourne, on 26 October and was pronounced dead on Wednesday.

Officers are investigating whether his death is linked to the earlier assault.

A 24-year-old man was previously charged and has appeared in court in connection with the incident.

Detectives are renewing their appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Superintendent Jayantha Mendis-Gunasekera said:

"Our thoughts are with the man's family following this tragic news.
"A suspect was arrested and charged in connection with the assault, and we are not seeking anyone else in relation to this incident.
"The attack is believed to have been an isolated incident and does not pose a wider threat to the community."

  1. I wanted more information about Homeopathic Medicine for Difficulty in Breathing because many people look for alternative healthcare solutions. It is useful to have clear explanations that discuss available options while encouraging proper medical consultation. Accurate information helps readers make thoughtful and responsible health decisions.

This tragic update deals a severe Ragdoll Hit to our collective peace of mind in Eastbourne. The thugs responsible need to be locked away for a very long time.

Can you consider Ayurveda stamina capsule as a healthier choice for getting a stamina boost than other supplements, and what would be the result time frame?
