Overnight Engineering Work To Affect Trains Between Three Bridges And Brighton This Week

Rail passengers in Sussex are being warned of overnight disruption this week due to engineering work between Three Bridges and Brighton.
The work will take place from Monday 22 September to Friday 26 September, with services affected in the very early hours of Tuesday to Friday mornings.
Southern services
Monday to Wednesday: The 23:25 London Victoria to Brighton service will be diverted after Haywards Heath to run via Lewes, missing Burgess Hill and Hassocks. It will arrive at Brighton later than scheduled. A replacement bus will run from Haywards Heath to Brighton, calling at Burgess Hill and Hassocks.
Tuesday to Thursday: The 00:02 London Victoria to Worthing service will terminate at Three Bridges. Replacement buses will operate from Three Bridges to Brighton, and from Brighton to Worthing. An additional train will run between Brighton and Worthing.
The 01:08 Haywards Heath to Eastbourne service will not run. Buses will replace it between Haywards Heath, Lewes, and Eastbourne.
Thameslink services
Between 00:25 and 05:00 on Tuesday to Thursday mornings, and between 01:25 and 05:05 on Friday morning, buses will replace trains between Three Bridges and Brighton.
Passengers are advised to check their journey in advance using the National Rail Enquiries Journey Planner and to allow extra time, as replacement services may be busier than usual.
