Police Investigate Spate Of Break-Ins And Thefts Near Chichester

Police are investigating a series of break-ins and thefts in villages near Chichester.
Officers were first called to reports of items being stolen from a garage in Laxton Meadow, Funtington, during the early hours of 17 May.
Items were also reported stolen from a vehicle nearby.
Sussex Police says six further reports of thefts or attempted thefts from garages and vehicles were made in the Funtington area on the same night.
The incidents were reported in Laxton Meadow, Common Road, Funtington Mews and Watery Lane.
Neighbourhood Policing Team Inspector Dave Lyons said officers are carrying out enquiries and urged residents to remain vigilant.
Police say there will be an increased presence in the area while investigations continue and to help deter further offences.
Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity, or who has CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage, is being urged to contact Sussex Police online or by calling 101, quoting serial 328 of 17 May.
