Police Release CCTV Image Of Man In Probe Into Unexplained Death Of Woman In Eastbourne

Police are investigating a woman’s death in Eastbourne and are appealing for further information.

Officers were called to a report of a woman in cardiac arrest in an alleyway in Belmore Road, Eastbourne on 2/04/2026.

Sadly she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The woman, a local woman from Eastbourne aged 44 has been identified and her next of kin have been informed. Our thoughts are with them at this time.

Her death is currently being treated as unexplained and officers are reviewing the wider circumstances.

They have also released a CCTV image of a man they wish to identify who may hold further information that can help our investigation.

He is described as a white male of slim build wearing a grey tracksuit, dark trainers, and a blue baseball cap.
