Brighton Man Charged Over Terrorist Notification Order Breach

A 58-year-old man from Brighton has been charged with failing to comply with the requirements of a Terrorist Notification Order.

Abubaker Deghayes, of Chadborn Close, was charged today (1 October) with failing to comply with notification requirements under Section 54 of the Counter Terrorism Act 2008.

The charge follows an investigation led by Counter Terrorism Policing South East.

Deghayes has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today.
