CCTV Images Released After Attempted Robbery Of Teenager In Crawley

Police have released CCTV images as part of an investigation into an attempted robbery involving a 15-year-old girl in Crawley.

The incident was reported to Sussex Police and is said to have taken place at around 5.40pm on 15 December last year.

The teenager told officers she was walking from Hambleton Hill towards Caburn Heights when she was approached in an alleyway by a man who attempted to grab her mobile phone.

The suspect then left the area, heading in the direction of Ditchling Hill in Southgate.

Following CCTV enquiries, officers have now issued images of a man they would like to

identify in connection with the incident.

He is described as a South Asian man, approximately 5ft 11in tall, wearing dark clothing.

Police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone who recognises the man in the images, to come forward.
