An appeal has been renewed on the tenth anniversary of the disappearance of Fatima Mohamed-Ali from Newhaven.

Fatima, who was 52 at the time, was last seen by her husband at around 7:30am at their home on Park Drive Close on Friday 12th February 2016.

CCTV later captured her walking along Avis Road at 7:58am, around a 15-minute walk away.

She was described as Indian, 5ft 2in tall, slim, with brown eyes and black shoulder-length hair often worn in a ponytail.

She is believed to have been wearing traditional Indian dress, possibly a sari, along with a beige coat and black boots.

Despite extensive efforts, there have been no major developments in the case. Fatima’s family have continued to campaign in the hope that the mother-of-three and grandmother will be found.

Her husband, Mohamed, has previously spoken about the toll her disappearance has taken on him and their family, saying he still hopes for answers.

Marking ten years since she went missing, he said:

“If you’ve seen Fatima or know where she is – or if Fatima herself is listening – please help us. On 12th February 2016, we lost a good wife, a mother and a grandmother.”

Charity Missing People is supporting the appeal. Anyone with information is urged to contact the charity’s free and confidential helpline on 116 000, or report sightings via the Missing People website.
