Appeal To Identify Witness In Connection With Worthing Rape Investigation

Police investigating a rape in Worthing town centre have issued a CCTV image of a crucial witness they wish to speak with.
The incident happened in an alleyway behind the Guildbourne Shopping Centre car park and Chatsworth Road at about 3am on 25 October.
A 45-year-old woman has received support from specially-trained officers.Â
Police arrested a 42-year-old local man on suspicion of rape, and he has been bailed, pending further enquiries.
Now detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses and those with information to come forward.
In particular, they are keen to speak to a man who may have crucial information to support the investigation.
He is described as having short brown or dark hair, and was wearing a light blue puffer jacket, light coloured jeans, a white T-shirt or polo neck shirt with a necklace, and white trainers.
