Thousands of people are expected to line the streets of Brighton on Saturday as the city's annual Pride parade returns.

The parade will begin at Hove Lawns at around 11am before travelling along the seafront, through the city centre and towards Preston Circus, following a late change to the original finishing point at Preston Park.

A series of road closures will be in place throughout the day, with some routes closing from 9.30am and others remaining shut until late evening or the early hours of Sunday.

Around 300,000 people are expected to attend the celebrations, which mark 35 years of the modern Brighton & Hove Pride event.

Drivers are being advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for journeys, while organisers have published full details of the parade route and road closures online.
