A man who supplied cocaine and cannabis to dealers across West Sussex has been jailed for ten years after being caught with large quantities of drugs and a number of weapons.
Leon Peace, 55, of Anson Road in Aldwick, was investigated by officers from the Tactical Enforcement Unit and Community Investigation Team.
Police found he was holding more than a kilogram of cocaine, worth an estimated £100,000 on the street, along with almost two kilograms of cannabis.
Searches linked to Peace also uncovered thousands of pounds in cash, a large wholesale quantity of cannabis and a handgun.
A knife and a spike were also found.
Peace was arrested in June and later appeared at Lewes Crown Court on 12 August, where he admitted possessing cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply.
He also admitted possessing a firearm and ammunition without a valid certificate, acquiring or possessing criminal property, possessing a bladed article and possessing an offensive weapon.
The court heard Peace was an upstream supplier, providing wholesale quantities of cocaine and cannabis to drug dealers operating across West Sussex.
Detective Superintendent Colin Garman said Peace was a "significant player" in the drugs operation and that police had disrupted a wider supply network.
He said the case demonstrated officers' determination to tackle organised criminals involved in the supply of drugs and the associated violence, anti-social behaviour and other crime.
Peace has now been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
