A fire at a home in Horsham is believed to have been started on purpose.

Emergency crews were called to Highlands Road just after 7.15pm on Monday, 27 May.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service sent three engines to the scene, where a blaze was found in a first floor bedroom.

Firefighters used hose reels, jets and thermal imaging equipment to put it out.

One person was treated with oxygen for smoke inhalation before being handed over to the ambulance service.

The fire service says the cause is thought to be deliberate, and Sussex Police have been informed.
