Police Appeal For Witnesses After Fatal Collision Near Chichester

Sussex Police are appealing for information following a fatal collision near Chichester on Wednesday morning (11 March).
The incident involved a silver Ford Transit van on the eastbound carriageway at around 5.30am.
Tragically, the driver, a 53-year-old man from Portsmouth, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed, and officers have expressed their condolences.
The eastbound carriageway was closed between Warblington and Fishbourne while emergency services responded.
Police have thanked motorists for their patience during the road closures.
The collision occurred between Newells Lane and Ratham Lane near Hambrook.
Sussex Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage from the area at the time to come forward.
