Two senior members of staff at the South East Coast Ambulance Service have been dismissed following allegations of sexual misconduct.
Both individuals held leadership positions and had contact with student paramedics.
In a letter to staff, chief executive Simon Weldon described the situation as “particularly disappointing”, given their senior roles.
The trust confirmed that two employees were dismissed after concerns were raised late last year, leading to a full investigation.
While it said it could not comment on individual cases, a spokesperson confirmed the action taken and said the organisation takes the safety of colleagues extremely seriously.
The spokesperson added that anyone who behaves inappropriately will be held accountable, and thanked those who had the courage to raise concerns.
In his message to staff, Mr Weldon said there would be consequences for poor behaviour, regardless of role or seniority. He said the organisation has a duty of care and must uphold its values.
He also stressed that when concerns are raised, leaders will listen, treat them seriously and take action where necessary.
