A Brighton-based company has announced new sponsorship deals with both Brighton and Hove Albion and Brighton Rugby Club.

The Shore Group will become the named sponsor of a 1901 Lounge at the Amex Stadium, as well as the lead shirt and club sponsor of Brighton Rugby across its men's, women's and junior teams.

The company says the deals represent a major investment in sport and the local community.

There's also a personal connection to the Albion, with Shore Group co-founder Lewis Yorke-Johnson's brother Ross having played for Brighton during the club's famous 1997 relegation decider at Hereford.

The partnerships are part of a wider community programme from The Shore Group, focused on youth employment, apprenticeships, training and careers support.

The company says it hopes the sponsorships will create opportunities for people across Brighton and support the city's sporting community.
