Fatboy Slim Backs Shoreham RNLI Fundraiser With Signed Auction Prize

DJ Fatboy Slim has lent his support to Shoreham RNLI by donating a signed collectable to help raise funds for the lifesaving charity.

The Hove resident, whose real name is Norman Cook, visited Shoreham Lifeboat Station to meet staff and volunteers before donating a framed, signed hand-screen print from one of his gigs.

The unique item will be auctioned at Shoreham RNLI's Midsummer Ball, which takes place at the American Express Stadium in Brighton on Saturday 20th June.

Speaking during his visit, Norman Cook said:

"I'm here at the Shoreham Lifeboat Station inviting you to the RNLI Summer Ball on 20th June at the AMEX.

"It will be a fabulous night out, and you could win this wonderful hand-screen printed gig poster, signed and numbered by the artist and signed by me."

He also praised the volunteers who help keep people safe at sea and encouraged others to consider getting involved.

He said:

"I don't need to tell you how good a job the lifeboat crew do, or the whole team, so if you want to get involved, please do - it's a wonderful thing to do."

The fundraising evening will celebrate the work of Shoreham RNLI's volunteers while raising money to support the charity's lifesaving operations.

Guests can enjoy a three-course meal, live music, an auction and other entertainment throughout the evening.

Shoreham RNLI Coxswain Simon Williams said:

"It was fantastic to meet Fatboy Slim and hear how much he values the work of the volunteers at Shoreham RNLI.
