Jeremy Clarkson has disclosed that he is undergoing treatment for prostate cancer after being diagnosed with what he describes as an “aggressive” form of the disease.
The former Top Gear presenter revealed the news during the final episodes of the latest series of Clarkson’s Farm, released overnight on Amazon Prime Video.
Clarkson told fellow cast members Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland that he learned of the diagnosis in May, explaining that the cancer had been caught at a very early stage.
The 66-year-old later revealed he had undergone an operation to remove part of his prostate and said it could be several months before doctors know whether the treatment has been fully successful.
Viewers also see Clarkson receiving treatment in hospital, where he admits there had been complications and uncertainty over his recovery.
Ahead of the episodes being released, Clarkson warned fans they would be far removed from the usual light-hearted tone of the farming series.
The presenter has faced health concerns in recent years, including a heart procedure in 2024 after doctors discovered significant blockages in arteries supplying blood to his heart.
Known worldwide for his work on Top Gear, The Grand Tour and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, Clarkson has also become a high-profile advocate for British farmers through the success of Clarkson’s Farm.
The programme follows life at Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire and has brought national attention to the challenges facing the agricultural industry.
