Person Rescued After Getting Trapped In Eastbourne Sea Defence Rocks

Emergency services rescued a person who became trapped in rocks along the Eastbourne sea defences in the early hours of Friday morning.

East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said crews were called to Prince William Parade shortly after 12:30am following reports that someone had fallen and was stuck between the rocks.

Two fire crews and the service’s technical rescue unit attended the scene. The person was safely freed and handed over to paramedics at around 3:15am.

South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed the individual was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital for further care.
