Police Appeal After Serious Motorbike Crash On A272 Near Haywards Heath

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the A272 at North Chailey.


Sussex Police said the crash happened at around 7.55am on Tuesday, April 28 on Haywards Heath Road, near the junction with Beggar’s Wood Road.


It is reported that a silver Honda motorcycle was travelling westbound when it collided with a light green Kia joining the A272 from the junction.


The motorcyclist, a 19-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he remains receiving treatment for serious injuries.


No arrests have been made.


The road was temporarily closed while emergency services dealt with the incident, but has since reopened.


Officers are continuing to investigate and are urging anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has CCTV, dashcam or mobile footage, to come forward.
