Police Cordon Off Eastbourne Shopping Centre Amid Major Emergency Response

A police cordon has been put in place at The Beacon shopping centre in Eastbourne following a major emergency response.
Police, armed officers and ambulance crews were called to the shopping centre after an incident reported at around 3pm on Saturday.
Images from the scene show part of the centre cordoned off near the Holland & Barrett store, with armed officers also seen outside Eastbourne railway station.
The Beacon shopping centre has declined to comment while the incident remains under police investigation.
The nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed and Sussex Police are expected to provide an update.
