Sussex's own Matt Turner, CEO and Founder of Creative Pod, officially received his MBE for his achievements and services to Business and Charity from His Majesty King Charles III at The Grand Reception Room at Windsor Castle on Wednesday (November 12).
The King’s Birthday Honours celebrate the remarkable achievements and contributions of individuals across the UK.
The Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) is awarded to someone who has excelled in their field and made a meaningful difference within their community, setting an inspiring example for others.
Matt posited:
“Walking into the castle grounds last week hit me like a sledgehammer and was a massive realisation of how far I’ve come over the previous 20 years.
"Meeting The King was one of the most surreal moments of my life and a memory I will never forget, especially having my family and wife Michelle present, who has been my rock and constant supporter since day dot.”
A multi-award-winning entrepreneur and philanthropist, Matt is driven by a passion for forging connections, accelerating growth, uplifting others, and making a positive impact through charitable and community work.
He continued:
“Receiving an MBE isn’t solely my achievement.
"There have literally been hundreds of people over the years who have supported me, given me a chance and encouraged me to get to where I am today, and I will always be eternally thankful to them.”
