Two Arrested After Armed Police Respond To Firearm Report In Worthing

A 55 year-old man and 16 year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of possessing an unlawfully held firearm following an armed police response in Worthing.
At around 6pm on Wednesday, Sussex Police received reports of a man seen with a suspected firearm outside a property in Argyll Mews.
Armed officers were deployed to the scene and two suspects, both from Worthing, were arrested.
They remain in police custody at this time.
Sussex Police is appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
Officers are particularly keen to review any relevant CCTV, doorbell or dash cam footage from the area.
