A drug dealer has been jailed after operating a phone line used to supply crack cocaine and heroin in Bognor.

Alfie Perera was found to be running the so-called ‘Smurf’ drugs line, offering Class A drugs for sale across the town.

Sussex Police officers launched an investigation after becoming aware of the phone line, which led to a warrant being carried out at an address.

Inside the property, officers discovered multiple wraps of drugs worth thousands of pounds.

Perera, 20, of no fixed address, was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, heroin and ketamine, as well as possession of crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply.

He admitted all five charges and was sentenced at Lewes Crown Court on 16 April to two years and three months in prison.

The court heard his offending took place between October 2024 and January this year, with additional involvement in the supply of ketamine between October and December 2024.

He was also further linked to the supply of crack cocaine and heroin in the months leading up to his arrest.

Detective Inspector Jason Parry said officers are continuing efforts to disrupt Class A drug supply in Bognor.

He said evidence showed Perera had contacted vulnerable people to sell drugs and used an address to store both drugs and cash.

Following the investigation, Perera admitted the offences in court and is now serving a custodial sentence.
