Police have stepped up patrols after a series of malicious phone calls were made to schools and a nursery in Peacehaven.
Sussex Police said the calls were reported between late morning and early afternoon on Friday, May 1, affecting Peacehaven Community School, Telscombe Cliffs Academy and a local nursery.
Officers attended each location to support staff and ensure safeguarding procedures were followed, with an increased police presence in the area throughout the day.
The calls are believed to be linked, and enquiries are ongoing to establish who was responsible.
Police say there was no indication of any immediate danger, but the response was put in place to reassure pupils, parents and staff.
