Time is running out for residents to share their views on West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service’s Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) – the blueprint that will shape how the service keeps people safe for the next four years.
The public consultation closes on Sunday 22 September, and people across the county are being urged to make their voices heard.
The plan sets out how the fire service will:
Prevent fires and emergencies before they happen
Protect people, property and firefighters by making buildings safer
Respond quickly and effectively when emergencies occur
Support and train its workforce
Make the best use of resources
Interim Chief Fire Officer Gary Ball said:
“This plan affects everyone living and working in West Sussex, so we need your input to ensure we get it right. Please don’t miss your chance to have your say.”
Cllr Duncan Crow, Cabinet Member for Community Support, Fire & Rescue, added:
“Your feedback will directly shape how the service operates for the rest of the decade. We want to hear from as many people as possible.”
People can take part by completing the online survey or requesting a paper copy before the deadline.
Paper copies can be requested by emailing yourfireservice@westsussex.gov.uk or calling 01243 786211.
