A man has been arrested following a fatal stabbing at a property in Brighton.
Emergency services were called to reports of a fight inside an address in Regency Square at around 2:10am on Sunday (26 April).
Two men were found with stab wounds.
One, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
A 37-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
Police later arrested a 26-year-old man, of no fixed address, at a nearby location on suspicion of murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, and possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply.
He remains in custody.
Chief Superintendent Adam Hays said the incident had “devastating consequences”, adding that there is not believed to be a wider risk to the public.
Officers will remain in the area while enquiries continue, and anyone with information or relevant footage is urged to contact police, quoting Operation Wenthill.
