A man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving following a crash on the A27 near Brighton.
Sussex Police said officers attempted to stop a BMW just before 6pm on 3 January between Falmer and Hollingbury, but the driver made off, reportedly weaving through traffic before colliding with a Range Rover.
The driver then left the vehicle and ran across the carriageway before being located. A 47-year-old man has been arrested and remains in police custody.
Detective Inspector Tony Gander said:
“We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or from anyone who has dash cam footage of the incident.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact Sussex Police.
