Man Arrested After Stabbing In Uckfield High Street

A man has been arrested following a stabbing in Uckfield High Street in East Sussex.

Sussex Police say the incident happened just after 3.30pm on Friday when a man was stabbed in the busy town centre.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He has since been discharged.

A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Police say the incident is being treated as an isolated assault involving two people who are known to each other, and there is no wider risk to the public.

Officers are continuing their investigation and are asking anyone with information that could assist to come forward.
