Man Seriously Injured In Dog Attack In Eastbourne
A man has suffered serious injuries after being attacked by a dog in Eastbourne.
Police were called to the area near Langney Pond in Sandpiper Walk at around 3.10pm today.
The 44-year-old man was taken to hospital.
A 53-year-old woman known to him has been arrested on suspicion of being the owner of a dog dangerously out of control.
The dog, believed to be a cross between a bull terrier and a Doberman, has been safely seized and removed from the area.
A nearby school and nursery were kept secure as a precaution while police officers and paramedics dealt with the incident.
Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information, including mobile phone, CCTV or doorbell footage.
