Chichester District Council is set to review new plans covering the layout and appearance of the 1,300 homes approved earlier this year for Tangmere.
The major development — now known as Three Spires — sits between the A27 and Copse Farm.
Permission was granted in May after years of delays, partly due to compulsory purchase issues affecting land needed for the project.
Originally proposed in 2020, the scheme aims to integrate seamlessly with the existing village.
A design statement says the vision reflects the Tangmere Neighbourhood Plan’s “One Village” approach, avoiding a separate or disconnected community.
The 76-hectare site has been earmarked for housing since 2010 and will deliver around 14% of the district’s housing requirement.
Thirty per cent of the new homes will be affordable, with plans also including a larger village centre, primary school, open spaces, sports pitches, footpaths, cycle routes and landscaping.
Access will be from the Temple Bar roundabout and Tangmere Road, with a secondary entrance off Malcolm Road.
