Police Appeal After Elderly Man Targeted In Rustington

Police are appealing for witnesses after an elderly man was targeted in Rustington.
The incident happened at around 12pm on 18 December on The Street, near Specsavers.
A man in his 90s was approached by a woman claiming to collect money for a charity supporting deaf people.
While the man was taking out his wallet to donate, the woman attempted to steal it.
The victim managed to keep his wallet, but the woman fled with a larger sum of cash.
The suspect is described as a woman in her 30s–40s, around 5'6", with dark hair.
She was wearing a dark long coat with the hood up and was carrying a clipboard.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, recognises the woman, or has CCTV footage from the area to come forward.
Anyone with information about similar incidents is also urged to report them.
