Passengers travelling across Sussex are facing disruption this morning after a fault with the electric third rail near Brighton.
Southern Railway says some lines in the Brighton area are blocked, with trains being cancelled, delayed or revised.
The disruption is expected to continue until around 10:00 BST on Monday.
Fewer lines than normal are currently operating between Brighton and Preston Park due to the issue.
Southern services between Seaford and Brighton are not running, with other trains operating between Lewes and Brighton expected to be busier than usual.
Meanwhile, Gatwick Express services are only running between Gatwick Airport and London Victoria.
Passengers travelling from Brighton have been advised they can use Thameslink services at no extra cost, although delays and cancellations are also possible on those routes.
Southern is urging customers to allow at least 30 minutes of extra time for journeys and to check station screens and travel updates before setting off.
Passengers affected by delays may also be entitled to compensation.
The latest problems come just days after widespread disruption on Thursday affected multiple operators including South Western Railway, CrossCountry, Southern, Gatwick Express, London Overground, Great Western Railway and Thameslink following signalling communication issues.
