Students across Sussex are celebrating their GCSE results today, with schools across the region reporting strong performances and notable achievements.
📈 Regional Overview
In West Sussex, 68.1% of students achieved a grade 4 or above, the equivalent of the old grade C.
East Sussex saw a slightly lower figure, with 67.8% of students attaining the same benchmark. These results reflect a steady performance across the region.
🏫 School Highlights
Roedean School: Celebrated its highest-ever number of top grade 9s at GCSE, with 37% of the 1,178 grades awarded being a grade 9, marking a 1% increase from the previous year.
Mayfield School: Achieved a remarkable milestone with half of all GCSE grades awarded at grades 9 or 8. The school continues to set high standards in academic excellence.
Bohunt School Worthing: Part of the high-achieving Bohunt Education Trust, the school reported a positive set of GCSE results, reflecting the hard work and dedication of its students and staff.
The Angmering School: Celebrated success in both GCSE and BTEC examinations, with students demonstrating resilience and determination in their studies.
