Two men and a woman have been charged following a report of a burglary at an address in Hove.
On 28 April at around 6.30am, a woman woke to find a man inside her home in Waterloo Street.
When challenged, the man was reported to have fled the address in possession of a number of her belongings, including her bank card which went on to be used in nearby shops.
Officers promptly conducted an area search and enquiries, which quickly led to the arrest of 37-year-old Jason Knight, followed by 33-year-old Stefan Gilmore and 31-year-old
Victoria Hayes-Sparkes.
All three were charged and appeared at Brighton Magistrates' Court on 29 April.
Knight, of Chailey Road, Brighton was charged with burglary and fraud by false representation. He was then remanded into custody.
Gilmore, of no fixed address, and Hayes-Sparkes, of Grande Parade, Brighton, were charged with assisting an offender. Both were conditionally bailed from court.
They will appear together at Lewes Crown Court on 27 May.
Further enquiries remain underway, and police ask if you have any footage or information to report, you contact police online, or by calling 101 quoting reference 196 of 28/04.
