A Sussex singer has secured a role in an upcoming feature film.
Ferring-based artist TreeAnna will appear as herself in the crime thriller Blood Orange Retribution, where she will also perform an original song written for the production, titled You’re Not The Man For Me.
Producer Michael Wearing said he had been attending live music events across Sussex in search of the right performer.
He described TreeAnna as “a perfect fit” for the role, highlighting both her look and vocal style.
The film’s music has been composed by Worthing-based musician Paul Cunningham, who fronts the band Hurricane Shack, with lyrics written by Michael Wearing.
Speaking about landing the part, TreeAnna said she was “thrilled” and described the opportunity as a dream come true.
Directed by Can Somer, Blood Orange Retribution is set in London and North Cyprus and is expected to receive a cinematic release later this year.
TreeAnna regularly performs at venues across Sussex and the South, with details of upcoming shows available via her social media channels.
