A280 Closed Following Serious Crash Involving Pedestrian

A section of the A280 Long Furlong in West Sussex has been closed following a serious collision involving a car, a lorry and a pedestrian.


Emergency services were called to the scene on Friday morning, with the incident first reported at around 8.40am.


According to traffic monitoring service AA, the collision occurred between the A24 Findon Bypass at Findon Roundabout and Michelgrove Lane.


The road was initially partially blocked in both directions, leading to queues of traffic. However, by around 8.50am the A280 had been closed at the A24 junction while emergency services responded.


Sussex Police and the ambulance service have been approached for further information.


The condition of those involved has not yet been confirmed.


Motorists are being urged to expect delays and seek alternative routes while the incident is dealt with.
