An East Sussex man is among four people arrested after images of Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein were projected onto Windsor Castle during the US president’s state visit.
Thames Valley Police confirmed a 60-year-old from East Sussex was detained alongside two men from London, aged 36 and 50, and a 37-year-old from Kent.
All four remain in custody on suspicion of malicious communications.
The incident happened on Tuesday evening as President Trump arrived in the UK ahead of his meeting with King Charles at Windsor Castle. Officers say they responded “swiftly” to stop the projection, and an investigation is now under way.
On Wednesday morning, a van displaying an image of Trump and Epstein with the message “Welcome to the UK, Donald” was also seen in Windsor.
The visit comes amid heightened tensions, with more than 1,600 Metropolitan Police officers deployed in central London ahead of major protests organised by the Stop Trump Coalition.
During his three-day visit, the president and First Lady Melania are expected to lunch with members of the Royal Family, visit the tomb of Queen Elizabeth II, and attend a state banquet at Windsor Castle.
