Wintry showers are set to bring icy patches and possible disruption across Sussex from Thursday night into Friday morning, the Met Office has warned.
Rain, sleet, wet snow and small hail are expected to leave surfaces wet on Thursday evening, before temperatures dip below freezing and create hazardous icy stretches on roads, pavements and cycle paths.
What to expect:
Icy patches on untreated routes
A risk of slips, trips and minor injuries
Possible delays to travel on Friday morning
Staying safe:
Leave extra time for journeys, especially during the morning rush.
If walking or cycling, stick to main routes which are more likely to have been treated. Drivers should check road conditions and public transport updates before setting off.
The Met Office says weather warnings can change, so residents are advised to stay updated with the latest local forecast.
