Man Charged Over Alleged Homophobic Abuse At Brighton-Leeds Match

A 55-year-old man has been charged following a reported incident of homophobic abuse at the Brighton and Leeds football match.
The incident is alleged to have happened during the fixture at the American Express Community Stadium on Saturday 5 September.
Police arrested a man in connection with the incident.
Alexander Bishop, of Martlet Way, Brockworth, Gloucester, was charged later that day with using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
He is due to appear before Brighton Magistrates' Court on Thursday 3 December.
