Man Dies In Rye Harbour Medical Incident

A 20-year-old man from Surrey has died following a medical incident at Rye Harbour.

Emergency services, including Sussex Police and the Coastguard, were called to the harbour at around 9am on 24 May.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say his next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

A spokesperson for the force said there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and the matter has been referred to the coroner.
