Man in 20s Dies Following Rye Harbour Incident

A 20-year-old man from Surrey has died following a medical incident at Rye Harbour.

Emergency services, including Sussex Police and HM Coastguard, were called to the harbour at around 9am on 24 May.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say his next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

A spokesperson for the force said:

“There are no suspicious circumstances and this will now be a matter for the coroner.”
