Police Launch Appeal After 84 Year-Old Worthing Man Dies In Fatal A24 Crash

Police are appealing for information following a fatal collision on the A24 in West Sussex.
Emergency services were called shortly before 11am on Friday (January 9) to reports of a crash between a BMW and a Volkswagen on the southbound carriageway, about half a mile from the Washington roundabout.
The driver of the BMW, an 84-year-old man from Worthing, died at the scene.
His passenger, an 82-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The Volkswagen driver, a 54-year-old woman, was also taken to hospital but has since been discharged.
Sussex Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has footage to get in touch to assist with their investigation.
