Sussex Police have revealed the names of seven more drivers convicted as part of their Christmas campaign against drink and drug-driving.

A total of 279 people were arrested during the operation, which ran from 1 December to 1 January. So far, 17 have been convicted and 80 charged.

Those recently convicted include drivers from Littlehampton, Brighton, Hassocks, Crawley and Billingshurst, all found to be over the legal alcohol limit.

Penalties handed down at magistrates’ courts across Sussex include driving bans ranging from 16 to 36 months, fines, unpaid work and suspended prison sentences.

Police say they will continue to publicly name offenders to raise awareness and act as a deterrent.

They are reminding drivers that drink or drug-driving can result in a minimum 12-month ban, an unlimited fine, a prison sentence and a criminal record.

If you know someone is driving under the influence, call 999 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Finding the balance on every bridge in drive mad 7 feels like a quiet dance between momentum and restraint. It is a simple journey of patience where the finish line matters less than the rhythm of the drive.
