Three more people have been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into an arson attack at a mosque in East Sussex.
Counter-terrorism officers say a 36-year-old man from Eastbourne was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson, following the fire at the mosque in Peacehaven in October.
On the same day, a 38-year-old man from Brighton and a 42-year-old man from Saltdean were also arrested on suspicion of malicious communications.
The investigation is being led by Counter Terrorism Policing South East, following an arson attack at the mosque on Phyllis Avenue, Peacehaven, on 4 October.
The blaze prompted a significant emergency response and caused concern within the local community.
Two men have already been charged in connection with the incident — Ricky Ryder, 38, of Seaford, and Jack Slowey, 34, of Peacehaven — both accused of arson with intent to endanger life.
The three men arrested on Tuesday have all been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Supt Rachel Swinney, from Sussex Police, said officers are continuing to work closely with counter-terrorism colleagues, using specialist resources to progress the investigation.
Emergency services were called to the fire late on 4 October, with investigators later taking over the case due to its severity.
