A27 Reopens In Hove Following Fatal Collision

The A27 near Hove has now been reopened, following a sadly fatal collision between a car and a pedestrian yesterday (6 June).


Emergency services were called to the A27, near the Dyke Road roundabouts, at around 9.15am.


A car was reported to have collided with a pedestrian, who is understood to have fallen from a footbridge passing over the carriageway.


On attendance, a 59-year-old local man was sadly declared deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.


Enquiries are ongoing to understand exactly what has happened, but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances at this time.
