Eastbourne Man Denies Seven Terrorism Charges Over Social Media Posts

A man has pleaded not guilty to seven counts of encouraging terrorism linked to social media posts.

Thomas Smith, 33, of Eastbourne, East Sussex, denied the charges relating to posts made on X in November and December last year.

He appeared before Bristol Crown Court via video link on Friday. Judge Martin Picton released him on bail ahead of a trial scheduled for July.

Counter Terrorism Policing South East previously said the charges relate to an investigation into extreme right-wing terrorism.
