Faulty Extractor Fan Blamed For Fire At Hove Hotel

A hotel in Hove was evacuated after a fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon, with firefighters later confirming it was caused by a faulty extractor fan.
Crews from East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called to the Imperial Hotel in First Avenue at around 3.10pm.
Guests and staff were safely evacuated and no injuries were reported.
Six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze.
Following an investigation, the fire service confirmed the cause was accidental and linked to an extractor fan fault.
