Flat Blaze Extinguished In East Grinstead

Fire crews have extinguished a blaze at a flat in East Grinstead after being called to Woodlands Road yesterday evening (Monday 25 August).

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said the alarm was raised at 5:22pm, with four fire engines sent to the scene.

On arrival, firefighters found the property “well alight.” Teams wearing breathing apparatus brought the flames under control using high-pressure hose reels and jets.

Sussex Police also attended the incident.

Crews remained in place until around 8pm to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
